Bolstered by the million dollar donation mark, the North Royalton High School Serpentini Chevrolet Stadium renovation project is making progress.
"The construction of the home and visitor restrooms and concession stands has started," said Assistant Superintendent Jim Presot. "Footers have been dug and poured and cement block is being put down. The cement pads for each of the buildings are hopefully going to be poured later this week. The footers for the home side bleachers are being prepared to be poured. All of the former buildings (restroom, concession stand and ticket booths) have been demolished. The contractor is starting some of the utility work and general site grading."
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of August in time for the start of our fall athletic schedule for both football and soccer.
Reserved seats located on the home side of the field are being sold. Anyone interested in purchasing reserved seating may contact the Athletic Department at: 440-582-7822.
"The Sponsor a Yard of Turf Program continues," said Presot. "Each donation places your name, family or business name on our Sponsor the Turf Banner, which will be displayed on the stadium grounds upon completion of the project. Forms are available at the Athletic Department Office."
